... we decided to head over to the area Gwen Stefani helped make famous... Harajuku. This strange fashion centre is still home to the weird and bizarre cult fashions of Tokyo, but unfortunately has been taken over by the big name high-end stores as well. Luckily the heart of Harajuku fashion is still intact on the several side streets around the main drag.

... the Heiseikan building, which was labeled on their guide as containing Japanese Archeology and Special Exhibitions. I guess they didn't think the temporary exhibit was very special since it wasn't in that building. The second floor was closed as they set up another exhibition and there were only exhibits on the first floor. I went through them and headed out.
