of mostly handmade items. There is also a Saturday walkin street which sells mainly food. There is also a Sunday walking street which ...

Alarm went off at 6:30AM; time to get up, venture out for my morning run, make a dent in the breakfast buffet then meet our private taxi driver in the hotel lobby at 9:30AM. Today we would go to a local pottery shop called Doy Din Dang, visit the Opium Museum, Golden Triangle, and eat at Rai Saeng Arun along the Mekong River in Chiang Khong. The owners from Chivit Thamma Da were the inspiration for today's itinerary.

Our lady driver met us in the lobby professionally dressed ...

... field! It was pitch black, we could barely see the road before us and our little old Toyota Yaris was struggling! We were in the field for what seemed like hours but I guess it was about 10 minutes or so! It did lead to a main road, a dead one, nothing around, no signs to follow and no one to ask! So we picked a direction! Of course it was the wrong one and we ended up turning round and heading the other way, stopping whenever we could to find out where on ...
