Today we leave for Kyoto! Sooo I thought I would post a few more pictures from Tokyo before we head out. Yesterday, we visited Akihabara- a neighborhood in Tokyo that is known as the Gamer's Mecca. We had a good time wandering around and everyone- many people were in various costumes like thier favorite game hero or a French maid! We even played a few arcade games... ask Graham about who won the Taiko drumming game! Booyah! ...

... in bookings, good for me as I keep getting discounts and upgrades, but for other hotels around this has been the last straw in a poor economic situation. I've been asked several times to tell everyone back home that its safe to travel here, use facebook, answer questionnaires. Yes, yes I agree everything is just fine in Tokyo, but for now I'm going to head south to the Hakone region to visit Mount Fuji, rather than north of the capital where I could encounter a few ...

... that it was only 500 yen if I wanted to come along. I didn't know anyone, so I figured that'd be the best option, It was good too. I met a few students, a funny japanese city planner guy that got really excited about everything when he spoke and a girl from Finland who is back in Tokyo for the 3rd time or so this time for another 2 month stint.

I wanted to go out too but well being my first day here - I was buggered :) - so it was simply off to bed instead.

Hieman ennen yhdentoista check-outia ylös, vähän pari leipäpalaa jäälatella alas ja asemalle varamaan paikkoja shinkanseniin Tokioon.
