Oh wow. First of all, I really think I am turning Korean. What sane person gets up at 5am to hike?! On a Saturday, no less! This crazy person (insert my face). I took an hour bus to Gwangju and from there an hour and a half direct bus to Yeongam. At 9:30am, 8 of us enthusiastic hikers set out for Wolchulsan.

You see here in Korea, and I've seen it done, dogs are tortured to death because of the false belief that when the dog is scared it creates adrenaline.
