... we watched a man make a button, and one of the girls in the group got to keep it! Gutted. We wanted to keep it :( maybe next time... Then we went to the tile museum. Equally interesting. Then we went to the seal museum. Disappointingly not referring to the sea creature. I was also the only non-Chinese person in the whole town. Not a joke. I don't think many people can say that's happened in their lives. The weirdest thing is that everyone in the entire town bought ...

... 39302;), Wine distillery (酿酒坊) and Indigo Fabric Workshop (蓝布印染ࢺ 6;). Also there were various craftmen/artisans making their products, such as combs made from water-buffalo horn and wood carvers. This was a great place to buy gifts for the family!

We also went to our first Chinese restaurant for lunch and again the food was a very good introduction to Chinese culture. ...

We woke up to a wet Shanghai morning, rain soft and steady. We started our day with a congee breakfast at a local eatery. My favourite so far is preserved egg congee. Shae likes fish congee.

After breaky we went to East Nanging Railway Station and boarded a train on the Green / #2 train line for Hongqaio Railway Station (Shanghai’s main train station). Wow, what a massive station this is ... people, lines, more people ...
