It was a rather tricky drive getting outside of Prescott, Az. That's a road we'll never take again in our motorhome. The road isn't something I'd recommend even if driving a car. Craig earned his stripes that day. Drove thru Quartzite; it looks the same as usual, although ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States rgvtxchrs... cheeseburger. As evidenced by the photos here, a Lutes’ Special is everything it’s advertised to be, a hot dog grilled and split open to lay flat atop a cheeseburger. Stephanie opted for the chili topped with cheese. Photos of the interior would have been inadequate to explain the décor. Likewise, none of our words will be able to paint much more than an ephemeral impression. Eclectic seems simple-minded; slightly pornographic is apt, if ...

Yuma, Arizona, United States jackies-world... adequate food and water. I really think this looked like a skull laying on top of the mountain. But then I could be seeing things! One of the more interesting things we stopped and looked at . . .a yellow and black Gila Monster. Hope everyone enjoyed my day at the desert .. . Jackie Whedbee

Yuma, Arizona, United States jackies-world... and dusty. We found that it was much warmer than Hemet and we must have arrived on a good week because there was a nice breeze to keep us comfortable and I haven't really noticed any dust. (Maybe I haven't noticed because I haven't bothered to wipe down the woodwork or wash the floors yet.) Immediately upon arriving at the "Lettuce Days" festivities on a blocked-off downtown street (where 2-3000 people mingle), we quickly encountered Denis & Dorothy again. The ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States jimcabay... us what a big deal it is. Well, I was sort of disappointed. Why? Because our markets in Medford and Grants Pass are huge for little towns. Not so this one. There was one produce stand. That was it for food products. Many clothes vendors but the prices were very high. Lots of jewelry but who wants jewelry on vacation! Well, you might but not me. Not this kind. We did stop for a burrito at Jose's stand. It was small, 2 bucks and delicious. An owner of a restaurant ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States dusterbin... fast, no traffic and not too expensive. It was a challenge at each toll booth because you have no idea how much the toll is until you are right at the toll booth, so I kept ready cash in my tank bag, then stuffed the change into my pocket. Between Tecate and Mexicali the road climbs a very high mountain range that is nothing but rocks with thirty Km per hour corners, both on the way up as well as on the way down. There were at least twenty homemade monuments along this ...
