Urokow Arizony ciag dalszy. Tym razem zakochalismy sie w Monument Valley. Wczorajsza noc spedzilismy w Page polozonym nad jeziorem Powell. Miasteczko pelne bylo Indian i budzilo w nas blizej nieokreslony niepokoj, wiec bez zalu opuscilismy je wczesnym rankiem. Droga do Doliny Skal prowadzila przez indanski rezerwat - rozlegle pustkowia poprzetykane nielicznymi indianskimi osadami. Zwiedzalo sie wspaniale, potrafilismy przejechac kilkadziesiat mil, nie spotykajac zadnego samochodu. Za nami cia...

Sedona is cute, all those beautiful houses and touristy shops, but the drive along Oak Creek Canyon between Sedona and Flagstaff is amazing. We decide to drive into the Grand Canyon from the south entrance, and spend a relaxing day taking shuttle buses to various scenic viewpoints. We leave through the east and head towards Utah, absorbing impressions of red rocky landscapes. What a change from the greens of the Northwest!

Zion National Park, Utah, United States cusan... real estate along the chain became limited and prized. The pictures can only suggest the challenge; we were proud we got within 1/8 mile of the summit . . . maybe in our next lives. Before leaving Kanab, UT, we toured the world famous Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a nation-wide organization promoting rescue, adoption, spay/neuter and education programs. This is a huge no-kill shelter where homesless and abused animals ...

Sure, they're staring at sheer sandstone cliffs rising up about a thousand feet rather than buildings on 5th Avenue, but it was sure a bit of a letdown after some of the solitude we've experienced the ...

There's some gorgeous waterfalls and pools that you can walk to, with much of the water percolating thought the various layers of rock. Springdale, Utah, United States tsargoodOne of the photographers that I hung out with at Erica's funeral is Paula Lerner. I had heard her name when I first got into the editorial photography business, and always imagined her to be this older, brassy New Yorker who'd been there, done that in a predominantly male-dominated world. I wasn't terribly off base, but she's from Boston. I was asked by Erica and Ed to sit on a panel discussion at Photo Plus Expo in New York a few years back when ...
