    ... but good to see the lawns. It's an English pub chain, but quite a good one. I have a walk through Horsell Common, before we meet for a Sunday roast for dinner. Alas the toilet has definite problems and had blocked up, the pub manager has called the plumber. They talk about moving us, but for tonight we use another bathroom. Ah well **** happens, as they say. Pete and Steve up early ready for their first croquet playing ...

    ... probably ended up doing 20 years! So he was grateful we didn't make a fuss. After landing in Hong Kong and finding our way to the hotel, Chris and I went for a wander through the big shopping outlet at our hotel. But this was way too busy for our jet lagged minds. People everywhere and the noise was deafening, so we went back to the hotel and settled on a massage. A much better way to spend the afternoon. An early supper then ...

    ... and those white flimsy complimentary slippers that are made for Lepricorns with two left feet.... Above the low "whoosh" of the slightly over specified air con system in our room, I can make out the familiar low engine rumble of aircraft engines on full thrust only a few hundred yards away. Anticipation gathers.....Flight EK2 to Dubai is tomorrow lunchtime and I can already feel the pull of the giant Heathrow travel vortex drawing ...
