Dasman, Kuwait ejqwioei... fit for a sheik, that we were served during the long days spent at the conference... and hanging out on the world's largest wooden boat, which happened to be the site of the conference reception, held after our first day of training... It is a beautiful work of art that is dry docked on the coast near the conference facilities that hosted us... a stones throw from one of the many palaces for the Emir of Kuwait... My evenings were spent taking interesting jogs along the coast ...
Kuwait City, Kuwait cotafamily4... luxury hotels and lush parks set along wide avenues. The city's major landmark is the Kuwait Towers, visible from the harbor where oil tankers come and go, docking alongside hundreds of cargo ships and pleasure craft. Kuwait is now regarded as a relatively safe destination with plenty to interest the traveller, not only in Kuwait City itself but throughout, from its arid desert plateau to the fertile coastal belt and the nine small offshore islands over which it has sovereignty.

Kuwait City, Kuwait edward.panWell, there are more benefits of the Hilton. First, there are women in bikinis who are not related to the people at work. I didn't go to the Ramadan tent for dinner, but you could eat out on the beach. Now it is time to go home.
Kuwait City, Kuwait nahury1And with the Hilton being closer to the city, it is a quick trip to eat at restaurants up there as well. Back to the Hard Rock - a great deal - all food is 50% off during Ramadan. At least one good thing during Ramadan. Met up with my old technical manager from my chemical plant days. Wasn't expecting to run into him over here.
Kuwait City, Kuwait nahury1Our new home - ain't it great? Not only do we have air conditioning - we have better TV station channels, internet, and better restaraunts.
Fahaheel, Kuwait nahury1... were not able to fix it. They did bring in a small portable unit, but it didn't do much other than get a little airflow and condense a whole bunch of water on the walls and floors. It is amazing how slippery tile can be. Stay tuned to find out what the temperature was in the morning.
Fahaheel, Kuwait nahury1... to buy a call to prayer alarm clock. Saw a mosque in the middle of a traffic circle / roundabout. Also got some photos of the liberation tower. Did go for another boat ride later in the afternoon.
