Earlier in the week, I sent out an email to some of my students and people who might be interested in coming to Luoyang. I expected no one to have any time to go, but I thought it would be cool to see who would answer.

I sent one to this guy who I wanted to do some part time work for tutoring kids in their homes in the evenings and such. No one answered and said they wanted to go, so I just started looking for my own couchsurfing ...

They are really impressive to see, ranging from very small ones only about an inch high which you ...

... because I had to wash my hair. I will post a picture of the Bathroom/Laundry so it makes some sense. Kathryn has spoken repeatedly of the difficulty of showering and I now understand. Firstly the shower is a hand held device, the corner of the room between the Laundry tub and the new western toilet is a small area about 18 inches square (It was where the old squat toilet used to be) So you step into allotted area, wet yourself down with the hand held ...

... a restaurant and had a Chinese banquet. I love these lunches as I get to taste a lot of things that I would not normally even consider trying. I did baulk at the frog dish, even though Julie insisted it was great, and one of her favourite dishes. We were at a huge table and the food just kept going round and you grabbed some delicacy as it passed. A usual, some of mine missed my plate and landed on the table cloth due to my ineptitude with chopsticks. I was quite ...
