... is getting dimmer and dimmer so we head back toward the shops. I ask Jim to get me a bottle of water to rinse my feet because I hate the feeling of sand on them. He suggests ice cream and heads over to get both. With the disappearance of the last shard of light we get back into the car and head back to Hamilton. Once again it is the unexpected detour that ties the day together into one big happy memory.

While tired, my options for the flight are either makes some trip notes from my travel guide or cull pix. The latter seemed a less taxing way of spending the time.

Pulled back at 1038, 8M late. Where is the Teutonic efficiency? In a train of departing flights but did seemingly jump the queue over some very small planes. In the air at 1101, a mere 8H 40M of flying time ahead of me.

... loaded the trailer with our supplies for a 2 month trip, mostly clothing, bedding, books, maps, and of course the electronics: laptop, cell phone and GPS. All the comforts of home.
9 am, the trip begins! We headed west, taking highway 401 towards Windsor, with a plan to cross into the USA via Windsor/Detroit border. As we left, I took note of the odometer which read: 73,775 km. It will be interesting to see what it says when we return.
