... impeccably blue sky. What a send off for our last day in the Rockies! I took a couple of shots of the views as we left the campground...the light looked good and I couldn't resist. It was amazing how quickly we were out of the big mountains. In 45 minutes we were into lower, rounded hills and back into fields of grain. By 8:45 the Rockies dropped out of sight in our rear view mirror...sad to see them go! At that point, we were in a wide valley full of beautiful big fields ...
... in a small town and saw a burger place that had huckleberry shakes, Paul's dad (who was driving) drove straight in. So Paul and I shared a burger and a shake. The shake tasted yummy! I can't wait to taste something with fresh huckleberries in it!
So that was our driving day. I will have to come up with something else for our other long driving days.

Add my fancy Arlen Ness after market mirrors that I can't see **** in to riding in complete silence and you need to have your head on a swivel big time! More that once I casually glanced over to find a semi had crept up beside me, quite startling! Eventually I discovered a setting that adds about 25% ambient back into the mix so I have a little more sensory input.
