... light snow falling, about -10 degrees c and an arctic wind. Was fun once we warmed up enough but Matthew decided today was the day he was going to get his shirt off and run bare chested in New York - a nice little video on my phone is the proof of his craziness! It was a great run around the middle section of the park, all the lakes were frozen now and it looks so nice with snow remaining ...

Finally we make it outside ...

... and impressive. There were some amazing photographs of it arriving over New York piggybacked to a jumbo jet. We went back on deck to admire planes including a Phantom, a stealth Blackbird and my favourite, the F14 Tomcat. By now it was nearly 2pm. We were ready for lunch, so decided to skip the submarine (USS Growler), and Concorde at the end of the pier. Walked about a mile back, and ...

    The Dailiness of it All

... grime and trash was overwhelming. I was wondering how does a person get a real sense of a billion people in a country? It is in the fact that there are so many without a safety net and the above mentioned trash and poor infrastructure.

And the before mentioned touts. Women who wanted to create henna patterns on our hands, rickshaw drivers, store employees, fruit sellers, tourist organizers.

What was nice were the school kids in uniform who ...
