Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada polydemic... this is all sureal, a bit of a dream. My bags made it unharmed, they didn't feel like staying in Seoul afterall. Walking out of the International terminal towards the Domestic one I smelled it. Tim Horton's. Instantly I was timewarped back to Toronto - Davisville Station Timmy's - heading to work and grabbing some breakfast/lunch/coffee. That smell was Canada, Toronto, work, winter, comfort, home. All at once. Isn't ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada karsenault... history of peace between the two nations. and dedicated in September of a long time ago. In Canada, the crossing is officially named Douglas, in honour of Sir James Douglas, the first governor of the Colony of British ...
Surrey, British Columbia, Canada heligypsy... For the first time in my life, I'm glad that Quebec is full of French people, and I'm glad that I can at least understand something (twice in a row!) that is being spoken to me. Gooooooooo Trudeau! Anyway, time to drink some wine and watch Indiana Jones. Maybe I'll come to some conclusions about my time in Thailand. If I do, I'll let you know. For now, I'm revelling in the uniquely Canadian experience of Air Canada.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada starlagurl... 30+ ℃.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada sofuskrolben... again and they took us to their youngest son, William's Sunday baseball game. Zach really enjoyed this, particularly getting the chance to wear one of those baseball gloves for catching. He thought this was really cool! He spent the whole time with Will's brother Sam, who is 9, throwing , catching and generally having some good "boy time".
Vancouver, Canada manningnz... it should be wrapped up in pita bread, but then they leave it on a plate and put rice with it. Strange Canadians! Everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening, we sang to grandpa, grandma got embarrased by all the attention we were getting- a good night out in all! I then rendevous (I can't spell that!) with the McRaes and headed out their way for a Friday night on the town. We went to Ric******* Richards a funky kind of bar/club ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada amyhuva... filed the claim, the Air Canada agent informed us that our baggage was probably still in Edmonton and that we should get it by noon the next day. I had certainly hoped so because we were due to go to my cousin's wedding the next afternoon. By the time we left the airport and checked into the hotel, it was about 11:30pm. We went to bed straight away and prayed that our bags would be found by early morning.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada dtomkunSo this is our travelogue. It is easier to view it for non-members. I will try my best to keep it updated. Milan and I are leaving on January 11th. His dad is driving us to Seattle airport on the Thursday night, we fly out early in the morning to Phoenix and connect to another flight to Cancun. I think we are as ready as we could be. Just a few more little things.
Surrey, British Columbia, Canada andreandy... day when we are slightly more prepared. There is also a cable car up the mountain but the walk is quite well known around here and we dont want to be marked out as tourists. From what we did see on the walk though there were lots of signs warning of bears! We didnt get to see any though. We drove (noticing a driving theme?) to Stanley Park on Sunday which is a giant park just off downtown Vancouver. It has lots ...
