Day In Vancouver

... different birds. It felt like a day of hiking by the time I had to leave. And now I'm on my way to Calgary, thankfully this is the last flight for a while. The view out my window is gorgeous, I'm looking down at the top of the snow covered rocky mountains.. looking a little touristy taking all the pics I can before I land in Calgary.

... on the island itself. There was one triangular clue, a stone triangle, that was found south of this so-called 'Money Pit.'" "I looked on google at aerial photos of the island and I went east of that stone triangle that was there, because on the symbols itself there was an arrow that pointed at the right angle of a triangle, the fourth and fifth symbol, so I went in that direction and I ...

... seems decent, I'll be checking more of that out. On the way to our hotel the shuttle drove by some building that just randomly had naked girls at the window, unfortunately only Sunny saw it. I think she told me late on purpose. "They were already gone!" she just said... and no it wasn't even in the red light district. We havent seen much of the city, and didn't want to tonight because we got here late (again, cause ...

Bad time to be a Canadian, eh

... bright, and loaded with interesting storefronts along the main thoroughfares. There does not seem to be "new" and "old" areas like we have. The old areas are upgraded and renewed. We almost stopped at a interesting fish restaurant along the waterfront, but since we had salmon last night we opted for Chinese. The desk clerk at La Quinta, a nice young Chinese kid, was quick to recommend Kirin, a Chinese restaurant in a nearby mall. We were hoping it ...

5 more days!

With only 5 days left before I leave the country I'm having a *************centrating on anything else. I've still got packing to do, work to finish, and a couple more softball games to play, all of which should keep me busy and distracted until I go. One would think that the 20 + hours of travel I've got ahead of me would keep me from getting to excited, but it's all part of the fun! Now if only Icould figure out what to pack....

... place was swarming with kids that climb up onto every display so that you can't see anything. As they continue getting in your way you get more and more fustrated so that eventually you leave after an hour because if you stay you'll end up hitting someone. I went to the Sydney acquarium late at night once and that was really good, they don't do that here but should really start thinking of it. I think that Vancouver is quite a pretty city and would be a nice place to live but for ...

... is quite residential not unlike North Vancouver. We finally found the travel agent and Noel did his business. He is now all booked for the Christmas period. We went back to the Markets and had lunch. A vancouvrite ( really nice guy ) sat down with us so we did a bit of local news catch up. He explained that the unemployment rate is around 0%, there is not enough workers to fill the jobs, we had noticed everywhere we went almost every retail or eatery had hiring signs in their ...

Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain

... the flies where very annoying but we managed to make it pretty high up. The photo with me with my arms open is from quite high up. On the way back they had a Lumberjack show which was quite fun, they split the crowd into two teams and we had our own Lumberjack to support. Ours won. It was quite a funny show. There was a mass exit from the Mountain after that (it was around 5.30pm) and the line to get back down the Mountain was really long so Heather and I wondered ...

Leaving in 10 days!

So this is our travelogue. It is easier to view it for non-members. I will try my best to keep it updated. Milan and I are leaving on January 11th. His dad is driving us to Seattle airport on the Thursday night, we fly out early in the morning to Phoenix and connect to another flight to Cancun. I think we are as ready as we could be. Just a few more little things.
