      I stayed in this hotel for 3 times :)

      Its one of the very good hotel in Surrey area.

      ... all the wine we bought); got breakfast (Starbucks bagels again) and got a taxi to the airport. We at least have the consolation of being in the First Class Lounge, complete with free food and drinks. But we have no exciting photos or tales to tell. Instead, we'll leave you with an awards ceremony. Our best moments throughout our trip, so drumroll if you please:

      Our goal is to leave at 7 am and we are aiming to get close to Calgary by tomorrow night.

      One thing about Princess Cruises, they never leave you at a loose end.. always an activity of entertainment to occupy you..

      There had been Naturalists, a female Iditerod winning musher ( who loved cats..) and park rangers from the various park areas we entered both on shore and in the ship... all very informative.. We did not bother with the cabaret and comedians...

      All the Canada guidebooks we've looked at say that you have to go to Stanley Park whilst in Vancouver, so that was our plan for a hopefully-dry Monday. Wil, our host, told us that if we follow the road he lives on down a few blocks we get to the waterfront, and from there its just a pedestrian-and-cyclist-only path that goes straight to Stanley Park.

      ... shave ice of coconut, strawberry and pineapple was as good as anticipated, and kept us going most of the way back to the bus stop. A couple of locals waiting at the stop said a bus would be along in 10 to 20 minutes, so we sat down to wait, getting a photo of a francolin, introduced from India, having a dust bath right at the bus stop.
