If the weather were good, as of last week he would have gone surfing, but now he doesn't even want to go out because there are so many armed robberies happening because people cannot find work and are desperate for food. We attracted quite a bit of attention, especially as Mat was wearing a Cubs t-shirt the day the local team was playing them in baseball. - just because you can see a building it does NOT mean it is within safe walking distance! Whew! What a crazy and exciting past week. It felt totally great to get back to work - albeit for 5 straight night shifts! Who cares, its just a gift and total joy to have only 4 patients and actually be able to be fully attentive to each of them. It makes such a difference, I don't even know how to explain it. Its scary to think that the hospitals are trying to get rid of the California ratio ...
