    Time to go home

A travel blog entry by mollyquul on Oct 05, 2014

It's been a wonderful trip ! I love traveling for the experience and broadening of horizons. I must say 'horizon' has been redefined on this one. But it's definitely time to head home. 4:30 am is a challenging departure time.

On final approach to Virginia, German tourists took photos
of the Potomac River from the airplane window. I know that place !

Sooo good to find my family waiting at Dulles :))) !! Great trip, but home is the best destination !

I arrived a day early so as to have a day to rest up, and adjust to 9 hr time difference. Most of my entertainment for the day was watching the lobby action of a UN conference they were hosting.

... with little shops and lanes. We then went kayaking/paddle boarding- not water boarding (which is a form of torture)as Maighread called it to the guy at the desk ! In the evening we went to try out capital bike share which are boris bikes and Alyssa took us on a tour of the city and all the monuments it was all so big!!! And far away my legs were so not prepared for that much cycling ! But then the highlight of the day! Our first chipotle! Deeeeeeelicious it's a fast ...

    Last Day In Chicago

... the world .One of the domes housed a rain forest which felt like we were standing in the Daintree . We had the driver drop us at the Hancock building on the way back to town as we wanted to go up the second biggest building in Chicago and the 3rd in USA to the observation desk and check out the view ,unfortunately the sky walk ...the glass bottom walk around ....was under renovation so we couldn't stand out there but the view was amazing right ...
