... and felt pretty awake when we arrived at IAD at 5:37 a.m. (48 minutes early).

We were the first international arrival of the day at IAD, so I was able to breeze through U.S. Customs & Border Protection with no line. I picked up my bag and just missed the 6:15 a.m. Washington Flyer bus by a few minutes, so I had to wait for the 6:45 to West Falls Church Station.
