... were able to keep the rocket in the frame as it went to 24 miles into the atmosphere was astonishing. A museum I was so pleased I saw.

Went for a drive to find some lunch. Finding food in the city is not easy as parking is difficult and there was very little food near where we were parked. Put Tom on to take us to an address we had planned to use two nights ago. Was not until we got near there that we realised we were in the north ...

    Time to go home

It's been a wonderful trip ! I love traveling for the experience and broadening of horizons. I must say 'horizon' has been redefined on this one. But it's definitely time to head home. 4:30 am is a challenging departure time.

Sooo good to find my family waiting at Dulles :))) !! Great trip, but home is the best destination !

... better. We visited Arlington cemetery, Lincoln memorial and the White House. Saw Kate afterwards for about half an hour then went on an extra tour to Mt Vernon and saw George Washington's house and grounds. Had a quick stop at Alexandria on the way back and had our last dinner together - Tommy is continuing south while Lina, Maureen & I are returning to New ...

... is a big lobby type area that's circle with a life size elephant standing in the middle. That was a sight to see in itself. We started wandering through the animal section of the museum and there's not really a word to describe it. It was truly mind blowing. So many different animals but what amazed me more than anything was the poses they had been put in to create the display. There were lions attacking deer and giraffes licking their lips and things like that. It ...
