... office workers I realised my choices in life are trying to take me anywhere but in their direction, and I wondered how many saw my backpack and wished they too could do a little exploring in between the usual nine to five. Most of them probably just thought 'move' when they saw me, as it was difficult to get out of their way without placing myself in front of a moving car on the highway.

... best birthday parties took my by surprise. I never advertised it, but thanks to my girlfriend Hiromi, I came into an afterparty dinner room full of good friends and lovely people, all cheering me on with a cake at hand. I almost started bawling. And then they threw out "For he's a jolly good fellow," and I really did. It was one of those moments I'll treasure for the rest of my life.

Bed hunting

... Mike took me to some mattress places to check out some beds, including IKEA. I think IKEA has what I want as for bed and shelves. We shall see. He also took me for a drive around to show me various beautiful spots along the water....the only bay I can remember its' name is "Shirley Bay". Very nice drive. So much information, I think I can only retains 2% at a time haha! Ottawa is beautiful so far and there is SO much to do and explore.
