    Year 2013, after looking through my colleague's photo of this lovely country. It has became a must visit place on my list. However, there was no cheap air tickets at the point of time. Therefore, it was being shelf off until late last year. I saw the advertisement on Air Asia. Without much deliberation, i proceeded with my flight booking.

    Returning back to Yogyakarta to Prambanan which is 17km west of town. After visiting few temple ruins in the area, we checked into Sheraton. The room was upgraded to a pool room where we had tons of fun playing in the pool in heavy downpour. Tried local dinner, Gudeg, at a nearby restaurant.

    Got hooked up at the Sheraton so can't complain here. Everytime I say the work "pool" it RAINS!!!!!! I thought rainy season was over....argh.     ... Bromo, then continue east and do the same thing for Kawah Ijen. The problem with this plan was the bus ride from Jogja to Probolingo: normally this would be an uncomfortable 10-12 hours. But with teh traffic caused by the post-Ramadan holiday, the bus ride was expected to take 15-17 hours, meaning we wouldn't get to our hotel until around midnight and then get up at 3am. Unfortunately the holiday also meant that the alternative options of flying or training ...
