The road from Niagara heads north towards New York before changing freeway North East to Syracuse. We stopped a couple of times during the morning at rest areas along the way. With much sadness we have to take our friend Barry Gersch to the airport so he can go back to the "real world". Barry is an airline pilot for Southwest Airlines and is based out of Las Vegas. He was able to schedule a flight from Syracuse, NY to make his trip to Las Vegas. We have a courtesy car from the marina and we headed to the airport to drop Barry off.

Today was a throwback! We started the day by driving to Pittsford, NY where Adam grew up and knocking on the door of his neighbor across the street, the Haleems. Boats exit the lock when the doors are open and then you wait for a "green" light to enter the lock. All of this process is communicated with the Lockmaster at each lock by communicating on the radio with them.
