This was our first night in Korea and where we had our first Korean dinner. We had Bulgogi cooked at our table with a crazy amount of service (side dishes). It was super tasty. Also the hotel had a computer toilet that shot water up your bum. Korea +1
The floors here are heated from underneath and it makes such a toasty and comfortable way to get up in the morning. We were pretty tired but excited to be in this country.

... for a 50 mins trip to one of the small islands just off the coast of Incheon. With the exception of Jeju, many of the islands surrounding the Korean coastline are small and not really set up for tourists, domestic or otherwise. However the trip itself is a great way to see some of the west sea islands by boat and you sail close enough to spot sandy ...
Deokjeokdo Island, Gyeonggi, Korea Rep. snakey... t shocked. I wasn't even too shocked when he touched my stomach. I was embarrassed, yes, but I just continued smiling. The first part of what he was saying and asking in Korean made sense to me. I got that. But I still, for the life of me, don't know why he was touching my stomach and then touching his. Was he saying I was pregnant like him? I think I heard that word. My ex-gf often teased me about my small (I ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. christensenlow... 30,000 Won, which is roughly $30AUD. That's not too bad, but I expected to go hungry buying a $30 meal at the Hyatt, especially when they say you can only ahve it at one place. Luckily, it turned out to be an all you can eat buffet with some seriously good stuff. I took far too many photos for my own good.

After dinner, we went up to take a peek at the pool. We didn't have togs, so they didn't let us in, despite our ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. gavin.edgley... I spent 20 days in meditation I felt free, forgiven, loving, etc. But just because you feel that way once, all the work is not done. You can't just wave a magic wand and have it all disappear for good. Things are always going to keep coming up. The key is to continue to do the work, day in and day out. I can't just say, oh, I've been healed. Yes, there have been times where I've truly felt that way ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. truddick... skimp on food as there were ample amounts of pork and beef. We ate, we talked about what we may or may not be eating, we laughed and we enjoyed the lunch. Refueled and refreshed, we ended our stop at the restaurant and headed out to the main alleyway to where the shopping activity was in full swing. For the next hour, we would stroll down this alley looking at the multitudes of shops of everything that may not be a necessity but could be necessary to own. Harriet found one such ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. danharrietSome of my kids are great others I want to get right up to their face and scream "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? JUST DO THE ASSIGNMENT?!!!!??!!" I actually had to turn into a bit of a ***** last week until they understood that I am the boss. Kids just love to push everything to the limit....well, I reached my limit and I became bitter. I really don't care if they like me all that much because I realize I am not there to be their friend. I am there to teach ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. april.abate... rave enough about how good the train system is here, the only downfall seems to be that because you are so far underground you normally have to walk up a number of flights of stairs to get into the real world again, very few stations are blessed with escalators and even fewer with facilities for the handicapped. After our escapades on NYE we took it upon ourselves to get out and about on Friday and tour the other side of the ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. linkspurr... which is the traditonal area in Seoul where you can find authentic traditional goods. We walked the street and found some great Christmas presents to send home. Then, we stopped in a tea house and I had fabulous pear tea (even though it was more like asian pear tea). When we were almost finished shopping it began to snow big beautilful flakes. It made me feel like Christmas, which I've been missing. So, we caught a cab back to ...
Hanam, Gyeonggi, Korea Rep. heatherannSeoul airport? Time out - thought you are going to Manila? What the hell are you doing in South Korea? Well... I'm doing the "Jack Johnson" - sit & wait... Yes, my target destination is still Manila - but due to bad weather conditions yesterday in Amsterdam the original flight was cancelled. New schedule: Frankfurt - Seoul - Manila. Travel-time: don't ask ;-) Just a hint: Incheon airport is a much better place to ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. michael77... Korean at the bar knew SOME Japanese words that I fortunately knew as well. After the first bar, we went back to the hotel room, then decided to go to another bar. The second bar was amazing, and there were only three people in it including the bartender. Although we barely understood one another, we all got wasted and had an amazing time. After that we went back to our rooms wasted, and on the way Travis ...
