Wish us luck as we depart in the evening from Atlanta via Los Angeles continuing on the same aircraft to Sydney, Australia. We know that we will not see a seat in BusinessElite to Los Angeles but we are really keeping our fingers crossed (pray for us!) that we will be able to take advantage of the flat ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States lisabeth.kayAtlanta was a hot mess. Where to begin...

When we pulled into our hotel on the Northeast outskirts of Atlanta, I should've known this would be an odd 24 hours. The hotel was less than desirable, but we made due. I was so distracted by my excitement at being near a Publix, that I was able to look past the less than grand hotel and try to find the silver lining... or rather green fluorescent lining. I proclaimed loudly with a shriek of glee, my elation upon seeing ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States tourdevDay tirpping across the universe (get that Star Trek theme song going)! We are leaving the warmth of our little cabin in Chattanooga and heading to Atlanta, Georgia. Got up early, for once, and hit the road for our 2 hour drive to Atlanta. Our goal of the day was Stone Mountain.

This private park, which is a mix between campground, nature park and theme park (sounds weird we know ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States bekandjesse... my ego and have certainly opened my awareness to a much wider arena of human thought and activity. India became both much more and much less than what I thought it was and that's ok because I say the same about my own country. The same sense of national denial is obvious in both places. There is 'no ego' in India just like there is 'no poverty' in America. Truth alone triumphs, indeed!
Atlanta, United States yogig... was too big to be in my carryon bag. He said I could go back and check my bag with the airline but that would cost me $15 to $25. I told him no and I hope he enjoyed the honey and went on my way to the gate.

It was a 5 hour flight back to Atlanta and we arrived home around 9:00 p.m.
Atlanta, Georgia, United States reneev7... cars hit me.

My first car accident.

So my car locked up and there were a ton of cars wizzing past me and honking at me like it was my fault. So I had to roll to the emergency lane and go and talk to everyone else in the wreck. The guy I hit was super cool. His name is Ben and he works in recording studio. Which is what I wanna do. So while we were waiting for the police and everyone else Ben ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States breezyfresh... well as concerts for adults and musicals. Anyone can find something they like. My favorite happens to be Halloween in the park when they have characters dressed as ghouls wandering the park. NEXT WEEK come back to find out more about things you can do for little or no money in Atlanta and future issues of my blog will concern day trips in Georgia as well as short stays in nearby cities such as Chatanooga and Nashville, Ashville and more! Come back again, yall!
Atlanta, Georgia, United States meganlocke... at 5PM I arrived at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. At this site during the Civil War, Union General William T. Sherman led his forces against the Confederates in 1864. Ultimately it led to the fall of Atlanta. At the park I drove to the top of Kennesaw Mountain for a view of Atlanta.
Atlanta, Georgia, United States exploreamerica... we were going - would it be Negril, Kingston, Montego Bay or some place else? I had to take her passport and ID from her and tell her to step aside while I checked us in at the counter. Then I explained to the woman at the counter to please speak softly because this trip is a surprise to Anita. The woman smiled softly and kindly checked us in. "Have a nice trip," she said to me and then she waived to Anita as we walked towards the pre-inspection area. With ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States globetrotters... safe and clean city. The boat I wanted to take to Incheon, South Korea only operates once a week during the winter, so I decided to fly to Seoul. I didn't really want to spend 38 hours on the water anyway. Maybe another time. I found out after I booked my flight that the boat offered many things to do. It has a workout room, bar and nightclub and different levels of dining. Sounded interesting. I got to Seoul late afternoon and found a ...
