Family Package-Great Value, Great stay
from A TripAdvisor User on 2003-09-01
We booked a two night Family Package at the Sheraton Fallsview from Aug 17-19 (Sunday through Tuesday). We opted for the least expensive Fallsview room, and what a deal! As we drove through the tickytack to get to the hotel, I was afraid we had made a mistake even going to Niagara Falls. But when we checked in, the service clerk was lovely and welcoming, and asked if we had seen the falls yet. We said no, and she said, "then your first glance will be from your room". And how~!
We were on the 9th floor and our view was great-(the pictures I took are my screen savers now). I would have to be a poet to describe the awe the falls still inspire-even my kids would just sit by the window and stare. Definitely, definitely the view is worth the extra bucks. I even got up at 3am and looked out.
The Family Package included 2 full breakfast buffets for the 4 of us, and a dinner buffet. Food prices are outrageous in Niagara Falls, so this was probably the biggest savings, esp. since my husband and teenager eat a LOT at a buffet. The desk clerk adjusted the rate for my teenager, because the family package is for children under 12, but it was only $13 extra. Also included in the package was tickets to the Journey behind the Falls, Maid of the Mist , the Whitewater Walk and the Butterfly Conservatory. Total for the room with great view, three meals and all those tickets? $500 American!
The Maid of the Mist is one of the great attractions of the world. You feel the power of the falls. And we did one tickytack attraction-Ripley's Museum, which was actually very entertaining, esp.
the interactive stuff at the end.
I would recommend the hotel to any and everyone, and hope to return someday.
Go for the 2-bedroom 2-bath suite!
from A TripAdvisor User on 2003-08-23
I went to the Sheraton Fallsview with my aunt, her grandchild and my friend in July 2003 and I agree with the reviews posted here: the view from the upper floors is absolutely stunning! We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom/2-bathroom suites facing the falls, and although the bedrooms were slightly cramped, the view (and the extra bathroom!) more than made up for it!
If you are travelling with 3 people and would like some comfort and privacy, you can't beat the view, the location and the price! Highly recommended.
A gem

Beautiful room, view and everything was grand - especially the bed and the pillows!!! Because of a snafu with Hertz, we were a day late getting in. I called hotel and explained but they have 24 hour cancellation policy that is set in stone. Person at front desk said they would upgrade us to fallsview room to make up for having to pay for the previous night. That was appreciated. Handy to getting down to the falls and all the activity we were interested in. Staff very friendly and helpful and would stay there again - only would make sure we would get there on time!!
The Best Hotel at the Falls
from eidover on 2003-08-13
My fiance and I are leaving in two days for our fourth trip to the Falls in less than a year! We got engaged at NF last fall. Each time we go, we've stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview (not to be confused with the Sheraton on the Falls which is near the casino in the middle of everything). We LOVE this hotel and here are a few reasons why: they always let us check-in early if we arrive early; their service is top-notch and very friendly; the food in the fallsview dining room is fantastic (and I'm a picky eater!); the view of the falls, especially on the top floors is phenomenal; the rooms are spacious, bright, and clean and the beds (in the deluxe rooms) are so comfy you won't want to get out of them!; and I have found the Sheraton to be the most reasonably priced hotel in Niagara (and I have researched nearly all of the nicer ones). I would highly recommend going with the package that includes your breakfast each morning and dinner one evening. You'll eat in the Fallsview Dining Room, overlooking the falls. You can't beat the food and the view!! And if you have time, visit Niagara on the Lake, about 15 minutes north of the falls. We love it there - a quaint town full of wineries, antique shops, restaurants and home to the famous Shaw Festival.
Loved Sheraton Fallsview

What a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Fallsview. Arrived early to find a fabulous room already waiting for us. The most comfortable king size bed with featherbed pillows, a jaquzzi, and a beautiful deck overlooking the falls. It was spectacular to sit out there at night watching the illumination of the falls, the fireworks and just listening to the roar of the falls. The view was out of this world.
Breakfast & dinner buffets were more than adequate. Stanley's lounge was a nice place to end the day. Staff was completely courteous, accommodating and helpful in every way from check-in, to dining room to the concierge. If visiting Niagara Falls don't miss the opportunity to stay at the Sheraton Fallsview.
Above and Beyond Our Expectations
from A TripAdvisor User on 2003-05-16
My wife and I stayed here last spring. We had never been to Niagara Falls before and really didn't know where to stay. We were so happy with our selection. We stopped in to check out some of the other hotels and were convinced more than ever that the Sheraton Fallsview was the best hotel around. The view from our room was spectacular. We took advantage of a special romantic dinner package from room service that made the trip even more memorable. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a terrific place and a great value.
Breathtaking view!

My elderly parents, my little son and I spent one night at this hotel in September 2002. I wanted us to stay at the most luxurios hotel in Niagara Falls and our expectations were indeed met at the Sheraton.
I booked a room on the hotel's web site and got a package with breakfast for 2 included. I also requested an early check in (around 1:00 p.m.). I received a quick, curteous e-mail from an agent at the hotel thanking me for the reservation and saying that they would do their best regarding the check in.
This hotel looks very impressive from the outside. What is definitely important is that the view from all falls view rooms is unobstructed unlike most of the other hotels in the vicinity.
We arrived a little bit before 1:00 p.m. The check in was very quick, and when I asked if our room was ready, this nice girl said: "I will check, but if your room is not ready, I will put you into one that is".
The room itself was fantastic. We were on the 25th floor with the most stunning falls view I've ever seen! When we entered the room, all we could say was "Wow!" Windows are from floor to ceiling and the view is absolutely breathtaking. While my son was taking his afternoon nap, my parents and I pulled the chairs to the window and didn't move for almost an hour. The room was excellent, very clean, beds were really comfortable, we could control the air-conditioning in the room, in one word, fantastic. The bathroom was very clean and sparkly, plenty of hot water... The only downfall was the fridge in the room, which was tiny and empty. I would expect a stocked mini-bar in this kind of a hotel. Also, there were only two bags of regular coffee for the coffee maker, so if you decided to have your coffee in the afternoon, there was nothing left for the morning.
In the late evening, we stayed in our room, admiring the view again, this time there was a light show on, which was again breathtaking. We somehow did not feel like leaving the room with this fantastic view, we were just glued to the window.
The food at the hotel was very good for dinner, although quite expensive; however, breakfast was average, buffet both times.
Another little problem I encountered was that the check in staff did not have correct information with respect to the "early bird special" for dinner, advertised on the web site. When I asked the girl about the special, she told me that yes, it was available from 5-7 p.m. every day. I asked again at the concierge, it turned out there was no special at all, it had been discontinued for a while.
The coupon that I had printed from the hotel web site for a $4 meal discount obviously looked unfamiliar to our waitress, but she honoured it anyway.
Another thing was the parking garage, there was no elevator to the hotel, so we carried our luggage over a flight of stairs and through several corridors until we reached the elevators. The pool was quiet (there was nobody there), but was somewhat small for what I had expected.
The check out was very expeditious. The same girl was very kind, provided a detailed invoice and even smiled and wished us a safe trip home.
Finally, we will always remember this short stay at the Sheraton. I would really, really recommend this hotel to everyone, and fallsveiw rooms are so worth the extra money. Our stay was quite expensive, but well worth every cent. If you would like excellence for your money, you won't regret spending a few dollars more here. I would definitely go back.
Sheraton Fallsview - Exceptional experience
from nina127 on 2002-11-22
We went to Niagara Falls in September. We researched online, all the accomodations available and decided on the Sheraton. Great choice! We made our reservations directly through the hotel. The clerks were very helpful and friendly. After several calls (every time I went to their website, I found a room I liked better) we took the "residence suite". It was beyond words. An entire glass wall overlooking the falls on the 16th floor. We had a separate living room with fireplace, kitchenette, full dining table, separate bedroom (the most comfortable bed) and a bathroom the size of most guest rooms. You can really work some great deals either online or by calling direct. Well worth the money - wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton from Nov 10 through Nov 14 in a wonderful room on the 20th floor. We had an excellent view of the Falls. Staff was wonderful, room and hotel are very clean, and the food was delicious!! Great time to visit Niagara as there are fewer tourists and rates are lower. The weather was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel. If you belong to AAA there is no charge for parking on the hotel grounds.
Excellent hotel

Overall a charming experience.
Good Points - The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms delightful, the food wonderful and most of all the view was dazzling.
Bad Points - The lobby was crowded and not always with other guests, the lifts always busy they need more.
Note: If you're going to stay at this hotel you must take a fallsview room - hang the expense!
