On Tuesday December 23rd we invaded the Garrett household. Matt, Dianna, Jack and Ethan live in Lakewood a western suburb of Denver tucked into the foothills.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a sign hand drawn by Dianna welcoming visitors from the North Country.

I returned to Mohini's place to finish packing. Then for some time, I listened to music.
Finally, I decided to get out of the apartment to get a iced chai. While, I was walking to a place called Benson on Santa Clara, "Benny!" Mohini screamed. I didn't get my iced chai. Instead, we returned to Mohini's place.

... After a while it got too cold and we had some lunch in a cafe. There were some different things on the menu that I has never heard of, like onion rings and chilli cheese fries. On the way back we saw really big moose sitting among the trees. We came home for a little while and then Natalie, Dad and I got ready to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. After Walmart we had chicken and rice for dinner and went to bed after a long tiring ...
Yesterday I met with my coach, Charley, at Starbucks to discuss where I should seed myself in the swim, how I should approach my nutrition, and other guidance I can take into my race. We met for about 30 minutes, but that 30 minutes was jam packed with helpful information. I learned what I should put into my special needs bags for the bike and for the run, what foods might sound good along the way, how to use the end of the bike to loosen up for the run... ...
... what is going on and how I'm feeling, but I have no doubt that I will be. As classes change and I am thrown out of my comfort zone again I will face a whole new group of people and courses. I am a little nervous about switching up my schedule already, but I figure if I did it first semester, it can only become easier to adapt from here on out.
You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
