We came back and had some lunch and a babysitter came to watch us while Mum, Dad, Chris and Gail went on a Brewery tour. We just hung out for a while until all the parents came back. Then we went to a christmas eve church service, there wasn't enough room in the main church so we went in a room underneath the ...

... to get out to IAD, where I managed to get on the late flight to DEN, which had been oversold.

Whew. I'm exhausted. And this is only the first small step on the long trip halfway across the world to Thailand’s capital, one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I hope the rest of the trip goes smoother than this wacky beginning. But somehow I suspect that shall not be the case.

      It’s 11:02 p.m. MDT as I sit here in Economy Plus Seat 8E, a middle ...
