Pray for patience, I know..someone will care

After my training, I was pumped and went to the national forest here called Conagree National Park. Blythewood, South Carolina, United States travelswitz5pm

South of the Border is this rediculous stop on I 95 just south of the South Carolina and North Carolina border. Hence the name. Anyway, they have huge dinasour statues, gift shops, and terrible food. I have been wanting to check it out all summer and I'm stoked I finally did. I bought a bag some nic nacs and a tank top. Tyler got a blanket.

We didn't take any pictures. It just wasn't that kind of a visit.

Tyler had frayed cargo shorts and I was wearing jean shorts. We aparently didn't recieve the memo.

We didn't stay out too long.
Columbia, South Carolina, United States americanpoet... having a Summer Concert Series Saturday nights with live music and food vendors. We circled around a few streets before we found a metered parking, paid our $2 in quarters and went down to the park. It was absolutely lovely. There was a spiral water fountain that cascaded down a 40 foot trail into a lake. To make it better, there were swings set up around the waterfall so that you could just sit back and relax.

After ...
Columbia, South Carolina, United States annarooUp at the crack of dawn today, and drove through to South Carolina. We stayed with friends from NH that recently moved down south. It was great for Gabi & Heather to see each other: All the girls had fun, and sounds like they are still awake chatting now (12:30 am). They'll be cranky when I get them up at 6:30 to head out!
Lexington, South Carolina, United States lgthibWe awoke to a beautiful sunny, 86 degree day today and were quite sad to be heading home -- especially when we heard it was cold snowy at home. We plan on staying overnight in South Carolina. Hopefully, it will not be to cold there. We are going to have to ease our way into it!

We made an early stop.
