... Past the cheesecake shop, Zara and other big names before a stop at the Abercrombie and Fitch store. One of the guys came up to Damian and made a comment about his tattoo. "Hey man, is that a picture of you?". Couldn't stifle the giggle quick enough before explaining to him what Star Wars is and who Obi Wan was. Back out into the the warmth and biting sun smiling... Off to Santa Monica with the top down. We "cruised" the streets wondering why we appeared to be the only convertible with ...

I had the combination down, however it didn't feel that comfortable yet and when it finally started to sink in and I had the feeling I could freely dance without thinking about the steps class was over already. We grabbed some dinner in a really cool dark moody American bar and then drove back to the apartment via Mulholland Road which has views over the city at night! It is interesting to see the diverse way of living here, with a lot of Mexican areas too as LA is the 3rd most populated Mexican city! After a good day with lots seen and still all a little jet lagged we jumped into bed as tomorrow was the start of our road ...

... infamous smog. There seems to be some very nice houses up around here - along one public walking track, we even here someone having a tennis lesson nearby, though the house is very well screened by all the trees. The drive is largely uneventful, until we get to the last lookout across the Hollywood Bowl, and it is *packed*. It seems to be a favourite with the tour shuttles (and I am very glad we are in an enclosed air-conditioned minivan as ...
