... ago.. The fit one's did a FAST morning walk - me almost running with the fast pace set by Gene (I had forgotten he had done marathons, walking in the past) and he set a cracking pace. I enjoyed seeing the different type of gardening,( as I struggled to keep up) - no lawns but 'anything' grows in the desert, as long as it is watered, and the private gardens were beautiful. After the American patriotism on the 4th of July I thought it was only fair I showed my own country some love the next day, by watching the World Cup soccer game between Costa Rica and the Netherlands on Saturday afternoon.

Angie, her roommate Jason and I headed to T.G.I. Fridays where Jason works to watch the match and support the Netherlands, which turned out to be ...

We then stumbled upon a putt putt golf course and I had to have a go. Eighteen holes, complete with water squirting skunks and bears in the trees. It was good fun and Tom was the eventual winner.

After this we checked out mini land which had scale models in Lego of different scenes from many Star Wars movies as well as several American ...

I woke up a little stiff from our hike yesterday. Kevin and I went out to Mimi's Cafe for brunch. I had an omelet with cheese, carmelized onions and andouille sausage . . . It was delicious. We drank enough coffee to get a nice caffeine buzz.

We went to see We're the Millers which was quite hilarious. We both got same great laughs. Although somewhat predictable, I enjoyed the ride.
