... and went to the beautiful beach just at the end of the pier. The water was just like a bathtub around 28c, we spent the afternoon there and had lots of fun. While we were in the water we started talking to another couple that are from Edmonton and are spending the winter in Huatulco. They mentioned to us that they know someone who spends their winters at The Palms. It turns out to be our next door neighbours. It's a small world... Tonight's dinner on the ship was a Mexican fiesta ...
Today was my day to explore San Diego to see what the city has to offer. I was thinking along the lines of visiting some iconic beaches and maybe even the Wave House. Wave House is a big machine/event where water is dispersed in a certain way at high speeds creating an artificial barrel. I also plan on visiting Belmont Retro Amusement Park near Mission Beach.

... and on the beach. The land sloping down toward the Pacific Ocean and low surf. Lots of young surfers, Jack goes all prudish on us. Complaining about kids stripping their board shorts off in the street while changing....we tease him, the three of us saying he doesn't HAVE to look. At the same time we note none of us have observed a naked body. He's a character and we are having a ball.
