Legoland was better for my nine year old kid than it was for me. The lines were long, but some included Lego playing stations to keep the kids occupied. They needed more Lego play stations though. I was impress with the Lego sculptures. I was happy to get a hopper ticket so that we could go to the Aquarium. The Aquarium had a lot of facts about the sea life in the area. It talked more about the sharks mostly.
... legos all over the place. We all went on our first ride and then Dad got a call that our room was ready. The Dads went over to unpack, trade cars and check in. While they did that, the rest of us went to Playland. Then we walked over to the Star Wars figures...then to MiniLand...then to more Star Wars figures....then to lunch...then to the elevator....then to our room...WOW WOW AND WOW. Pirates stuff everywhere, cool bunk beds, a fancy toilet, and more ...
... was anything of interest which there was so we revisited the shops later. Next area was Dino Island where we lined up for the Coasteraurus roller coaster. We noticed that once you get on it you actually get to go around twice. ... think it weird but for us though, this is fun! We also ventured along the Botanical Trail. Apparently there are something in the order of 150 plants native to the area, 27 of which have identifiers along the trail. It didn't really mean much to us today since not too much was flowering at the higher elevations, and we didn't have the legend to the numbering system. Still, it was a nice walk and we finally discovered that those pretty blue blooms are called Ramona ...
All rested up, today we jumped on the Grayline and headed about an hour south to Carlsbad (half way between LA and San Diego) to visit Legoland. While the rides were always going to struggle to compare with what we've experienced at Disney these past couple of days, the Mini ...
