A Delightful Delancey

... stranger to sta with her in a house where she lives alone! But June came anyway.

On the second day, over breakfast, Margaret said to June, "You know, I haven't always been a Christian." And thus proceded to tell the rest of the story of how she fell in love with the Lord and he saved her by grace. Working in Philly

... bad I won't get another chance to eat here before I leave because its worth going to twice in a week! I ordered the chicken & wild mushroom crepes....delish! If you lvoe crepes, then you have to hit this place up. I warn you though....its much fancier (and pricier) than the average creperies in the US.

Getting There & 1st Night

We drove from NJ to DC - Google mapped this at 3 hrs & 17 min. I say ******** - no way, even if you drove at 3 AM, doing 85 & not stopping once to pee! We left around 12:30 or so (granted it was raining for about the 1st hr of our drive) and I think we arrived at the hotel sometime around 4:30ish.<br ...

Things I miss

... maybe take time to thank people more often, at least thank God.

1. Multi-room living accomodations. Where you can sleep, eat, and relax in separate spaces. Where you can sleep in in darkness when your husband wakes up early and can go to another room to turn on lights and turn on the tv or computer.

2. Permanant homes for Toiletries. I miss leaving my shampoo in the shower. We pack it all up every morning ...

Sesame Place

... pretty soaked. They all went down the double tube ride with daddy, and then spent some time playing in the brand new Count's Splash Castle. The Count's area was really neat, but it was pretty cold at this point, as you can see in the pictures of them.

We decided to change in the car to dry clothes and return. It was drizzling at this point, so we took in an Abby Cadabby show, which the kids really enjoyed. People were starting to leave and the ...

Nightmare on Sesame Street

... version of their normal routine. Quickly, it was over, the street was empty and people huddled under trees and in the many souvenir shops waiting for the weather to abate. That never really happened and after about 20 minutes, Lola, Jen, and I made a break for the rental car. Needless to say, we got drenched for the second time on this trip... On a positive note, it was Bert's birthday. Happy Birthday Bert!

Warren Attends an Andre Rieu Concert in Bruges

... in the seating area about halfway back in the square toward the left side of the stage with my mother and many of my Flemish relatives (my Grandmother, Uncle Roger and Aunt Andrea, Uncle Albert and Tante Marta, Tante Meetje, my mother's cousins Celine and Rogier) and my mother's best friend Josette and her family (daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren) - perhaps twenty family members and friends in all. We were there for an Andre Rieu concert on ...
