Adam came to State College on Thursday and we went out. Friday morning we left for Baltimore to visit Colin. Brendan met up and we went to Go Go on Saturday night. The band that plays at indigo on Wednesday.

Adam and Emily attended a special Disney Christmas program; I mostly

As today's parting shot, December 7, 2012 was a very good day, but let

This seemed like a great idea 6 months ago

... well for the next 10 months.

Timing is a funny thing. When we thought of this idea, we immediately thought of asking my dad if he'd like to live here for the year, while he contemplates his next move. The sale of his house that he shared with my mom for almost 20 years will go through on July 2. He has had to sort and fix and pack up a life's worth of memories on his own. He has been ...

... my head upon was Merl a mattress laying on the floor in the corner of my one room apartment. Yeah! I lived in luxury can't you tell Forget about having a TV or stereo. I was like the average Yemeni in the fact that I couldn't afford to buy one. Don't doubt. They were available but when you live off of 250.00 per month, like I was when I had a job. Luxurious items are something you can't afford on a regular basses.

    Great place

    from Aero247

The room was great and the location was terrific to the area. I was visiting the college and stayed here because of the rate 85 a night for the club level room and it was worth twice that much! I would defintly stay there again, it was a terrific place. Everyone was friendly and the rooms were clean.

    Sheraton North (Towson)

    from anonymous

Stayed there for a week while our house was being renovated. Had tried lesser/cheaper hotel nearby for 1 hour--it was so gross we had to leave, so the Sheraton was our saving grace! Very clean rooms; professional staff were eager to help accommodate cleaning schedules to our 3 year old's nap. Pricey but very convenient to huge mall (has food court, other restaurants & play area for children) plus 1/4 mile off beltway. Covered free! parking garage and wonderful atmosphere. Ordered once off room service menu (restaurant downstairs) and food was excellent--would stay there again anytime!

    Very comfortable

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Reasonable price, comfortable beds, dark curtains, clean room. Excellent service.

    Pleasent stay

    from anonymous

I stayed at the North Hotel in Balitmore (Towson) for one night in April. It was pretty good, very clean and the bed was so so combertable to sleep on! the staff seems nice and the hotel was right across from a mall, so there was plenty to do. Though this hotel is not right in Baltimore, it is in a safe and clean area.

    What a terrible time!

    from anonymous

Arrived at hotel, was given a key to room , opened the door to find that the room was already occupied. Given new key to another room, all the drawers on the dresser where broken, indoor pool was not working, fitness equipmet was broken, not a pleasant stay at all. They offered me a free night the next time that I stay with them, I ripped up the certificate, as soon as I received it! Warning, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

Walls thin as you'd find in a cheal motel

    from anonymous

We changed rooms because we could hear a man hacking in the room next to ours...clear as if he was in our room. The staff was very willing to make the switch, but...in our new room, we were awoken by love-making...we have never stayed in a hotel with such thin walls.

    Loved the Sheraton Baltimore North

    from anonymous

I had the stayed with the Sheraton Baltimore North after one of the snow storms left me stranded. I can tell that what they say about the Sheraton Sweet Sleepers are true. The best sleep I have ever had. The service was great as well considering they were short staffed due to the snow storm. They did not miss a beat. Congrats to the team.

    Could be excellent, but isn't.

We just returned from a 4-night stay over Christmas. Agree with spotty housekeeping and that service varies enormously with the employee. Room was okay, but coffee pot didn't work (it was replaced when I left a note), climate control was awful (too hot or had to keep the heat off), faucet in shower was too stiff, only two glasses and two mugs, no cups in bathroom. Maid never emptied ice bucket or left a new bag. Ice machine on our floor was broken for the duration of our stay (and had cigarette ashes in the opening). Most days, only one of three elevators working. Plenty of towels, though, and very comfortable bed with lots of nice pillows. Entire place is not very well kept up. No one mentioned reservations would be essential for the dining room Christmas evening, but we did enjoy a fabulous dinner in the bar. Bar closed very early (before midnight) every night. Service in restaurant at lunchtime was perfunctory and tables all about were dirty (as was flatware). In our experience, some Sheratons are excellent, others, like this one, could be but are not. Booked with Hotwire at a ridiculously low rate, though, so we were overall satisfied.

    So-so stay

    from Ocean266

Stains on the carpet, door to next room allowed noise from other guests to come thru, only one coffee cup with coffee maker, ripped wallpaper where hair drier had been attached. None of these are big problems but they add up to a so-so impression of what for me should have been a higher end hotel stay.

Convenient location (we have a student at Goucher College)

    from anonymous

We always have some problems with the room (housekeeping almost always leaves something to be desired...... dirty coffee maker, not enough towels, not vacuumed well enough, dirty windows, etc.). And for some strange reason, they do not use fitted sheets on the beds - so your bedding can end up in something like a big wad! The helpfulness of the staff apparently depends on who's shift it is..... some ARE very friendly and very helpful, others not at all. The skywalk to the mall is great.
