      ... we need now is hot chocolate and a roaring fire in a fireplace! I fixed pork chops and sweet taters for dinner. We didn't even go out for a drink tonight. Nice to spend an entire day at home. Temp was 41 when we went to bed, but no snow yet.

      ... been busy, mostly hiking. We have gone on 3 hikes in the Middlesex Fells of 3 miles or more in last few days. The leaves are beautiful this year. Last year there were NO colors at all! I had not brought any shoes for long skirts and dress up – too many other things to pack for this last trip here!       ... wipes before our dinner of chicken, rice, salad, cheese and crackers, bread and butter and chocolate tiramisu. Phil watched cartoons. 630 miles at 37,000 feet.       ... They are remodeling the one here in W Salem. I had lunch there – it was like Costco – must have been at least 15 stations serving something. Enough to be full when I left. I did get some Angry Bird Hard Cider – I like that!

      Near the Boston Public Library was a shopping centre with a food court. Just like at home, they're filled with fast food chain after fast food chain with a shared seating area in the middle (think Arndale or Trafford Centre). Unlike home, however, they have amongst them the greatest fast food known to man, and quite frankly the pinnacle of quick-service dining: Panda Express. If you've never been, you're missing out.
