... the RV which happened when we went on our hop on and hop off tour of New Orleans. It is a great day to get all my laundry done, fridge cleaned out and little walks around the huge park with the wonder weinie. Also, I will not hear any complaining when they come home to a cooked supper (hee hee) The rest of my party arrived happy but tired. The big excitements was they got to see Obama's vehicle and his ...

... RV park safe and sound. If Clarence and Jim can navigate our rigs through Washington DC then they can master any city. Unbelievable traffic and it wasn't even rush hour. After we settled in and had a happy hour drink and a bite to eat we set off an a new adventure, a moonlight tour of Washington, DC or an after dark tour of Washington DC. We boarded our double decker tour bus at around 6 from the Cherry Hill RV Park ...

... before walking back to hotel to relax and get ready for another travel day tomorrow.

Washington DC has been great as there is plenty to see and do. We were probably here a week or two early though as all the cherry blossom trees are about to bloom and that would be a sight to see. The weather has been kind, starting of pretty cool each morning but warming up as the day goes on and finishing a pleasant 13 - 15 degrees C.

... over, we would have been spared! There are far better things to experience in New York in the neighborhoods but I guess we had to do it!

Anyway back to Washington, We were very impressed with New York's huge Penn Station, and the very comfortable Amtrak train to Washington; arrived at the beautiful Railway Station which was once the largest station in America. A wonderful building! DC is a lovely capital ...
