Macau is a kind of crazy little place - really narrow streets, lots of cars and buses and people on the narrow little footpaths, so anywhere you went, you were constantly trying to get past people.

We stayed a little out of the main casino area, so got all the normal, real life stuff happening around us rather than bus loads of tourists.

We managed to do the 'big' touristy things like the A ...

The Temple offered an interesting contrast to the busy, built up streets that was our experience of Hong Kong to date. On our way home we visited the Graham Street Market full to bursting with weird and wonderful foods...including some very live and still jumping fish!

We walked towards Central, but on the way, we popped to a shop for a large oven tray.

Inside I pondered which size for a while and ended up dropping some in the crockery aisle.

... asked what he was doing there. The good side is that we met a couple nice people. Out side the hostel, the street was always very much alive. Great for shopping. Too bad we don't have money for that. All the big name in fashion were there. The real ones and of course, the fake ones too. It is Hong Kong after all. They would come approaching/harassing us every time we walked on the street. And they had everything. Fake bags, ...

We awoke to rain, but after a leisurely continental breakfast, with ham, cheese and pastries (curtsy of the supermarket over the road) the weather started to improve. Tara was very stiff this morning and blamed us for getting her to run up the escalator last night !!!

We set off via the tube to pier 5 to visit one of the remote islands Cheung Chau by ferry.
