Our second tourist experience was the city wall which dates back to the Ming dynasty (the last of the feudal dynasties to rule from Nanjing) - our main focus was the Zhong Hoa gate. The wall is vey thick and 35 kms in length. It was used to attract intruders who found themselves trapped between lowered gates and victims of hot oil treatment and other atrocities.

Food here hasn't been too bad either. Today's ...

Anyway on arrival to Nanjing we had 2 days on our agenda, having arrived at 10pm and met our new local guide, and having eaten our 50p noodles on the train we devoured the Internet for 1 hour and headed to bed. The hotel was really nice, best yet and so we got some good rest. The next day we had a relaxed morning before heading out to ...
