... slamming eastern India and another typhoon was threatening the Japanese mainland. King Neptune, Poseidon, and their crew were preparing to challenge our crossing of the Yellow Sea. During dinner and throughout the evening the ships stabilizers were severely tested as 50 plus knot winds beat upon our starboard beam. These conditions, however, made for a nice lullaby sleep when we retired for the night.

Since our last visit to Xingang (Beijing) ...

... slightly shorter, we stayed. After about an hour and a half we were on the Eye with a great view of the city. Sadly it seemed to only last for 20 minutes.

Afterwards we visited a nearby Buddhist temple which seemed to have a strange obsession with Guan Yu. In the temple I got kicked out of one of the rooms for wondering down the wrong corridor.

Afterward we made our back to the hostel to grab out stuff for heading back to Beijing.

I joined the flying insects at dusk (& subsequently the bats) and a couple of hundred other people circling TaiFeng Park tonight.

I am living, for a few weeks, near the park. It is a great asset to the city with its open grassy areas – popular for flying kites – lakes, trees and sculptures. As the seasons change, so does the state of the vegetation in the park, as does the range of ...

... our guide and got see some of
Tianjin. It sure is a beautiful city and we really wished we could spend
some more time here. We like it more then Beijing. We got to visit a
water park (for its lakes and fountains not water slides and pools) and
found a small amusement park as well. The girls enjoyed some
much needed fun time and Jaden bonded with either Lorilee or I. He was a
trooper. The little man was taking it all in. Never cried once ...

... until she saw G’s cash coming. Was that her wages for the day or the tip? She has been working here for 2.5 years and has no plan or dream … She also probably can’t play golf.
