... morning we gladly left our unique campground in Independence For Rockport MO. We are now staying in a campground in the Missouri Valley that was a flood plain and under 8 ft off water in 2011. I won't go into the whole story of the 2011 flood in the Missouri Valley but it involves the COE and their refusal to accept responsibility for the devastation. We woke up this morning and decided to take it pretty leisurely as our train left at 2pm and we had done pretty much all we wanted to do in Chicago (plus we had our massive bags which we didn't want to lug around too much!) As the title suggests, this will be the story of July 30 and July 31 rolled into one.
You already know that Pat was on his way to Big O Tires when I wrote and posted the blog yesterday morning. The spare was removed and two new tires were put on the left rear. The other tires were okay and were under the watchful eye of Pat as the service technicians did their jobs.
