... so gonna take it easy and just do the Red Fort as it is closed tomorrow.
Taking the New Delhi metro towards the fort is a refreshing change to auto and cycle rickshaws and also cheaper at only 10R's a trip. It is really clean and standards put the Tube to shame (granted it is only 8 years old).
Walking the last section braving crossing Delhi's highways - some 8 lanes in total to traverse!, i walked the last kilometer to the fort.

Walked up to Connaught Circus for a snack lunch dodging the hawkers, beggars and tuk-tuk drivers yet again, then relaxed under the fan in our room for the afternoon.
Included in today's strange sights were a metal detector before you could get in to Pizza Hut, and a guard with a WWII rifle guarding Subway. It must be all those exploding ...
