    We were down for breakfast at about 8:00. We had a good two loads of laundry to do and wanted to get it done early. We drove up the mountain to the self service laundry, parked the car and walked a hefty 6 blocks or so all up hill.

    We drove on the autostrada (super highway, toll road) for the first half hour and got 30 miles down the road. This road is made of tunnels and viaducts all the way.     ... guide offering his services which we declined. Got to the entry and made our way to the Greek Theatre which was nice, read our book, went to the top and hollowed caves. Found broken down railings and lots of areas blocked off. This continued into the other areas with more blocked off than open and overgrown and pretty dirty.     ... gathered other lost soles and ventured out on the public bus for €1.80 each. Turned out pretty much the whole bus was filled with Aussies from the cruise. There were some older Americans who were asking questions like they were on a tour and I ended up saying "hey, I don't really know where we are headed or how we will get back so please don't follow us because you think we know what we are doing"!
