... the most famous restaurant in town – and it was absolutely delicious!

The following day we enjoyed a free day in El Calafate and hired some bikes and rode around Lago Argentina, enjoying the picturesque view, admiring the pink flamingos, and strolling through town. What was also incredible is the life the dogs live here. Owners just let their dogs freely run, and the town is full of these friendly creatures running around having an absolute ball. It ...

Woke up with more bites and so itchy. Showered had breakfast and packed then tried to get video off camera onto computer, wasted a lot of time as couldn't get computer to recognise camera. Eventually i worked out how to crop the video and save then went upstairs to lad onto ipad and then did Facebook posts. We were told 7am pickup for out trip to Perito Moreno Glacier but we waited till nearly 8am for our lift to arrive. A coach of 18 with 1 other Aussie, (a man from Gosford) took us to our amazing destination. It was an 80km drive to the glacier on a windy picturesque concrete road. Boat trip with 200 seats with about 100 of them from 'Scenic Tours'! A 1hr boat trip out to see the Perito Moreno Glacier. While viewing the glacier we were very fortunate to see a ...

... to a friendly Argentine bloke in front of me, and we exchanged details, vowing to meet up again as he and his girlfriend left for a flight at 12:30. The constant supply of wine definitely took its toll on me before we called it a night at 2am.

The next day was largely a write off as although we had planned to rent bikes to cycle around a nearby lake, the after effects of the previous night were ...

... Compacted, clear blue ice is revealed behind the glowing white fresh ice. Although it seems like it should be silent and calm because no movement is visible, the thunderous cracks from within are so loud. The thousands of jagged spires on top create stunning shadows and shapes. We made our way along the numerous boardwalks, resting at certain vantage points that allowed the best view. The whole experience was incredible and humbling.
