          ... door for tour & a wee dram. Our tour guide turned out to be Spanish ... Very knowledgable but boy ....was she hard to understand !

          I took a walk to McCaig's tower at the top of Battery Hill ( see photo) & took in the view. The muscles suffered for that! John Stuart McCaig, was a banker and was his own architect for this tower. He designed it as a monument to his family but ...

          ... exactly 8 hours without a single traffic jam!! It was certainly the best ever trip I have had on that long road through Britain!!It was now almost 3 weeks ago since I climbed aboard my wonderful Honda Transalp and headed for Newcastle and the ferry to Europe.           ... a great time. Rena had the lunch all ready for us getting back.

          In the afternoon Holly and the boys made Chocolate Muffins with a Buttercream icing and an iced Ginger Loaf - yum yum!

          On the Wednesday morning the boys had a long lie until about 11:20 am. After lunch at ours we visited Craignethan Castle in the Clyde valley. The boys had great fun running around and climbing the steep banks.
