... There was living accommodation of sorts upstairs and an inn in the basement. Additional rooms were added by later generations so the property included an area displaying rooms in the Tudor style as well as an area added early in the Georgian period. Pigs were kept in the house as they were multifunctional - they ate the garbage, amused the kids (who could ride piggy-back) and could be eaten (the pigs not the kids). The wardrobes ...

In the afternoon Holly and the boys made Chocolate Muffins with a Buttercream icing and an iced Ginger Loaf - yum yum!
On the Wednesday morning the boys had a long lie until about 11:20 am. After lunch at ours we visited Craignethan Castle in the Clyde valley. The boys had great fun running around and climbing the steep banks.
