... path leading to pirates cave. After lunch he was determined to do this, I let him go and got comfy by the pool. He arrived back an hour or so later, extremely sweaty, mumbling something about 189 lung busting steps. He says the tread on the steps was double the normal size. So glad I didn't go. Spent a lazy arvo by the pool and a nice dinner out where we got talking to a french couple at the next table. Off north ...

... wearing about 20 hats on his head, coconuts, mens shoes. They were no where near as persistent as I remember from Bali back in the 80's though. Hell of a way to make a living, I didn't see any of them make a sale. We had lunch at a lovely little restaurant with a fabulous view of the beach, how could it not be? It was probably only 10 metres from the water!!! From lunch we drove on to explore a little more - headed up ...

... close by at a place called Arzachena. We had both wanted to visit these sites as they date from the Bronze Age and are in remarkably good shape. What we saw was a Nuraghic burial tomb and a village. The stone "house' is amazing, how they managed this is impressive. It surprises me that we are able to walk through the area and even go into the circular stone house. From there onto another coastal town for ...
