    I haven't seen the chair of my dissertation, mentor and friend, Cynthia Franklin in more than 12 years and we happened upon each other in China of all places. She was travelling through the country conducting trainings. We were lucky enough to meet up in the beautiful Hangzhou - a short train ride from Shanghai.     Went to meet Stephen at the Wyndham Hotel at midday and went to the Nanchang Historic Cultural Street, which was full of craft shops and food stalls.     Today we left Guilin and headed to Hangzhou. Being just a 2.5hr flight away it shouldn't be too difficult, but it was not to be so. Due to torrential rain in Guilin our flight was delayed and we ended spending 10 hours in a small local airport with many many others.
