    ... us to some waterfalls, we find the river and follow it for a bit before getting out for a nose around, as luck had it there was a guy with a boat there who offered to take the three of us for around a tenner so off we set.     ... took over an hour for her to demonstrate to us, so goodness knows how long to prepare for a wedding, from rolling the dough, stretching the dough, preparing the chilli & tomatoes - this process is done by crushing tomato & chilli on a slab of volcanic rock and then grinding with a roll of volcanic rock called a curry rock. I had a try but there was a definite knack and rhythm which I couldn't quite master but to be fair neither could the French !

    The included
    buffet breakfast was very extensive and we had a very quick transfer back to
    the airport where the driver reached 130km driving a minivan. The airport here
    is also very modern but also very big. The flight was 3 hours and we arrived
    in Mauritius after dark but we could definitely tell we were in the tropics

    ... break and it is heavily guarded by a very tight nit group of locals that are referred to as the white shorts. Mauritius is known for being an extremely localized place to try and surf. I have surfed many places before with similar reputations and have never had any problems. I would learn quickly though that the rumors of localism around Mauritius were unfortunately very true.
