    ... of some “veteran” teachers, we found some new food sources which will help – cream cheese and sliced ham. I made Blanche’s mushroom dip last night and it tasted soooo good!

    We know the deep freeze has settled in at home and we’re shivering in empathy. At least there hasn’t been a lot of snow to shovel yet!

    ... an impression on me!

    We flew back on New Year’s Day and it was a holiday for many people. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from the hotel breakfast that morning. The good thing was that it didn’t hit hard until we were back in our apartment and then the next 24 hours were pretty miserable.     ... screen and an awesome sound system. A rock band led us in carols for the first 20 minutes which were really upbeat. The minister was very down to earth and evangelical, but not pushy, and obviously connects with the congregation which includes all ages and many nationalities.     ... asked if they could bring in some “snacks” so we ended up with Korean sushi (no fish) for the class, a tiramisu (Brazilian mom) and a variety of candies and chocolates with a sea salt lemonade for each kid.
