Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada nobert... why he was in Texas and he said "court stuff." Then I was explaining that I needed my passport to cross the border to Canada to another man (because the laws have changed) and he said "why, do you have a record?" Um...what? I met yet another man, who started on the bus in Florida and had already been riding it for two days. On most of the ride I sat to a woman named Jenifer (she told me it was spelled with only on "n" ha), who had an ...

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada amidlifecrisis... self-catering accommodations total, 3 upstairs (where we are) and 1 downstairs. It's not huge but it's perfect for the 3 of us! The bedroom has a queen bed with very comfy linens and ample closet space, as well as a 4-drawer dresser and one window, which opens nice and wide by the way, which we love. Manfred, the proprietor, provided us with a twin-sized airbed with automatic pump for our daughter, and she thinks it's the bomb.

The kitchen ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada prxnon... For the first time in my life, I'm glad that Quebec is full of French people, and I'm glad that I can at least understand something (twice in a row!) that is being spoken to me. Gooooooooo Trudeau! Anyway, time to drink some wine and watch Indiana Jones. Maybe I'll come to some conclusions about my time in Thailand. If I do, I'll let you know. For now, I'm revelling in the uniquely Canadian experience of Air Canada.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada starlagurlIf ever Sydney had a long lost twin, Vancouver surely must be it. It wasn't for the fact that we didn't recognise any of the buildings, you could almost swear that it was Sydney streets and stores and Australian people walking around and that you might run into the Opera House around any corner. It really was quite eerie to be driving through what seemed like such familiar terrain. Of course, like Sydney, Vancouver is a really beautiful city and also like Sydney, is set on a ...

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada cora_explorerSo I've had my first Thanksgiving dinner! It was a late one that we had since my cousin Jenn was still at school in LA, but all her friends came over and we had a massive Turkey dinner (something like 4 courses!) including all the Canadian classics like Pumpkin Pie!!! For those who don't know it's a sweet pie- so like pumpkin and ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada amyhuva... near each other!) The Victoria area is near Buckingham Palace and on Buckingham Palace Road is where the Guide Shop is! I made a stop and then continued on to see the band rehearsing for the changing of the guard. I got some great pics of them all decked out in their Canadian bear skin hats. I have to say it is weird listening to the band play broadway show tunes! I went to the National Gallery. I have to saw that my ...
