The rain clouds began lifting early this morning as we headed out to spend our last full day visiting Spokane, WA. As a special treat for winning the get-acquainted bingo game on Sunday, I got to eat breakfast in the owner's nook with two old friends and traveling companions, Thelma Yasuhara and Bob Peterson. Fabulous view and really comfy chairs.

The river is actually pretty large and the rapids are crazy fast. No way would I want to ever raft in this water, that's for sure!

... time has been spent getting down and dirty. The wrecking yard has helped out with the parts, the van has resisted some of the work we've had to do but as of Thursday evening we're confident we'll have it up and running Friday midday or so.
If that's right there'll soon be some pics of the drive to Seattle and Vancouver Id.

I'm not known for subtlety or quietness but like any parent, I was in great anticipation of being with all of them and learning about any and every thing new in their lives..
