Slight problems...
Last night I ate dinner with people from the Xu-Bo organization, Julian (the other volunteer) and Marco (the high-school student) where both there too. It was a good dinner with many chinese dishes and an amazing desert, they said it was a coffee cake but it didn't taste like coffee and I really enjoyed it!
By the end of the dinner it was confirmed that today (Wednesday) I would hopefully be on a train back to Shanghai.

Dumplings, Tennis, and the Museum
... so her daughter explained a Chinese saying that translated loosely into English is something like this - 'Eat, Eat Rest, and Eat Some More.' Basically you eat, you rest and then eat more.
Afterwards they walked me back to school and we said goodbye. It was actually really nice day. Even though her family spoke very little English and I spoke zero Chinese it was a pleasant day and I learnt a lot about the people here. And it was nice to be mothered for one day.

Volunteer tour guide!
... 5 students who had been asked by Alice to take me to Erqi (pron. Erchi) Square where I would meet Julian, who is the other volunteer in Zhengzhou. It took well over an hour to get to the square and in true Marushka fashion I was late! This wasn’t really my fault, because I didn’t actually realize how far away it was. Week 2 teaching!
... brought the question that I have heard countless times since I have been here, do you have a boyfriend, to which I answer no and ask if they have a boyfriend/girlfriend and that usually has the whole class in stitches!
Tomorrow I am meeting Julian, another volunteer that is based in Zhengzhou as well. I think it will be really nice to have a conversation and not to have to speak 5-year-old English. Anyways more tomorrow after I meet with Julian!

Anyways that is all for now, I’m looking forward to the coming week. Many things to be done during the day at school and the nights to just relax and read and write the blog and discover the places I want to visit in the province and in neighbouring provinces over the weekends in the time I have left.
