Just back on the ship from paradise!! Had an amazing time in
Mauritius…it went too fast!! Mauritius is a small island off the coast of
Madagascar. You can get around the whole island in about an hour. We were only there from Thursday to Saturday. Everyone compared this port to Spring Break because we just finished midterms and it is spring in Mauritius. Most people on SAS rented villas to stay in. Nine friends and I rented one in ...
... or having a great time looking at other tourists enjoying their vacation. Now, if you wish to do something adventurous, try out some water sports and Para sailing activities offered at the various beaches. Or you can even take a step into the sea waters and enjoying sailing at the sea waves.

The most popular Cathedrals in Mauritius are the Pere Laval or the famous St. Louis Cathedral in Port Louis ...
... t prolong it, since I didn’t want to take him away from his children who aren’t able to visit that often.
Clency guided me out of the maze of small streets to a major artery from which I could find my way back to Quatre Bornes, then he got out to take the bus back home which was nearby, and I headed back in my direction. I had a long walk in the afternoon, and am now feeling tired in the late afternoon, so it won’t be a late night.
... place and walked toward the port. What struck me first was the size of the rolling waves coming into the port. They were impressively large, and the whole, usually tranquil port was roiling with great waves going in and out and crashing into each other. The authorities had roped off the spaces nearest the water to prevent people from getting soaked or even knocked off their feet when water much more solid that spray came up and over the sea walls ...
Flic en Flac, Port Louis and elsewhere, Mauritius joelmeeker... reached a crescendo, no doubt to the audience's relief. We were forced to flee to our balcony to consume our dessert, which we did quickly, in fear of the guitar player returning, then lazed around with our distended bellies before going to sleep. We woke to rain clouds and rang through our breakfast order, which last night's waiter delivered. We gave him a tip for last night's service. We swilled down our breakfast and headed off for walk to Grand Baie ...
Pereybere, Mauritius penny71... started to warm to us now, he even made sure after the operatio that we had some tea. Thats another weird thing about here - evrywhere you go there is a little counter where they employ a person/people to stay and cook/prepare drinks for the doctors. So you can stroll up there and ask for a cup of tea and they say no problem, milk and sugar? Kind of old fashioned but i like it none the less proving the whole arrogant ******* thing. Anyway after ...
Pamplemousses, Mauritius b.herring... house that you could look inside was home to loads of the usual kinds of fish you find in tropical waters. It was great just looking in all the different holes, shinning your torch to see what you could find. We really enjoyed both the dives we did with Dream Divers. We did not have much time left for more dives as we needed to dry our dive equipment ready to leave Mauritius on Friday 18th to go to Madagascar. On Thursday we took the local bus (only 10mins) further ...
Port Louis, Mauritius m-and-cMauritius was delicious...literally. Right where we ported was a molasses refinery that filled the air with the sweet smells of raw sugar. It was also home to the Dodo bird, which I am sure was delicious too but now sadly extinct. The ship had arrived later than usual due to a hold-up we experienced in S. Africa that kept the ship in dock an extra day, but the combination of an amazing crew and fast ship made us only 2 hours later than originally ...
Port Luis, Mauritius tim_at_sea... had with us. Back to beach at 2pm for the free snorkel on the glass-bottomed boat. Takes us fair way down, and out near the reef, and near where there is a channel going out through the reef(would have been too far for us to swim out to). Some quite good coral, and quite a few fish. Back at hotel, have a swim in the pool, doing a few lengths. Dianne has put on 7 kgs since we returned from our trip last year, which she is hoping to lose this trip, by ...
Le Palmar Beach, Mauritius diannemurray... Corp. which deals with Hilton hotels only in America). He told me that he worked in hotels in Berlin, Praque, and Budapest and was a General Manager in London and now in Mauritius. After our tour, we spent the afternoon chilling out on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The sand was like powdered white sugar and the water was crystal clear. The island is protected by a coral reef, which makes the waves break out pretty far from the beach creating ...
