... as I had experienced all this area on foot. We stay at one resort in Baolai with in-door slightly warm hot-spring tubs. We then decide for a good indigenous dinner - and bull's eye; great food ( at all standards and especially for the money ) and a great conversation with the boss. It's on the river side and uses bright colors and has some tables at the side with plants and flowers.

On Sunday we drove back to Kaoshiung and stopped at Meinung, a Hakka town.

We had some simple pancake with onion (葱抓饼) as breakfast. It looked like Indian roti prata except that onion was added. At 9am, we took the forest train to Fenchihu.
