... Many strange looks from Chinese passengers as we became quite loud as the trip progressed. They couldn't quite work out why we were all having a good time. We arrived Beijing at 6.30 and then met our new tour guide Amanda. She is very funny and we went to our hotel Beijing Double Tree Hilton. Very nice but very expensive to eat here. Cost us $92 for dinner and a couple of drinks. We soon learned to eat out side the hotel and had ...

Decoration and texture, cat tribe dynamics, the pathways lined with blooming flowers. Everything - animals, kids, plants, foreigners, all living together behind the massive school doorway, with bells marking out the rhythms of the daily ...

Today we toured the beautiful ( and empty ) tai chi park and museum. It seems to have been designed with bus loads of tourists in mind, but we have only seen a few scattered souls. Nice to have it to ourselves, and the afternoon off from training to mark the half way point. Afterwards, Master Chen's son who leads the 8 ...
