After another seamless ferry trip from Friday Harbor to Sidney, BC (thank you Washington State Department of Transport again) we made it to Canada - another country I can check off! Victoria rather than Vancouver is the capital of British Columbia although the latter is by far and away the bigger city (not that I have been there yet mind!).

Had the first dinner with the group, they are all Australian. Shared a table with a couple who were travelling with another four couples who went to the same church. Very chatty and friendly. Tomorrow is the first real day of the tour and we go do a city tour and then have the afternoon free.
Going to stay up as late as possible tonight and try and sleep all the way through. Have put in a wake-up call for tomorrow.
