FYI...the fish was delicious :) A wander through The Empress Hotel (where the beautiful people stay!) and some of the local shops, had us exhausted and in need of a bubbles stop. (The bubbles were for medicinal purposes only!) A good people watching vantage point at the local Irish pub had us revitalised and ready for more walking. There were two things I wanted to do while I was in Victoria: visit the Butchart Gardens and take tea in the Fairmont Empress hotel. I did both. After a rather nice sleep in, woke at 9, breakfast and off to the Captain vs the Executive Chef vs the Food and Beverage Manager cake decorating competition. They were supposed to make and decorate a sponge in the shape of an aeroplane. Of course the Captain won with his version which contained a full bottle of cherry liquor in the shape of a ship!!
