... short cut and brought some grocery for dinner.

While waiting for the potato cubes to be cook, we further plan and book a coach to Waitomo, the place famous for it's glow worms cave. However there is only one coach bus which leave at 7am. It is regrettable that we had to skip further north as it will be a huge detour back south at later days. So we prepared our bags and had these potato cubes cooked for breakfast tomorrow too.

We then went to the cafe, and had dinner there, because it was rather cheap, which took us by surprise. One of our longer days, mileage wise, so we were up and off. We called in at Olivia and Tim's who live in Clevedon near Auckland and got there about 2.20. We'd never met them before but Olivia is the sister of another friend of ours, Alison, who'd insisted they'd like us to visit if we were passing. Olivia and Tim were very welcoming hosts and we spent a very pleasant afternoon chatting, sipping tea and ...

After a long haul of 40 hours door-to-door, and a diversion to Bahrain, we finally arrived in Papamoa. We spent a great 6-days with Mum & Dad, enjoying the beach (apart from the 3 meter Bronze Whaler shark spoiling our daily swim), climbing the Mount and drinking NZ coffee and wine.

Next stop: Hamilton, to see Dave & Jen. They had us walk up 2,000 steps (training for our ...
